Henry Baker Hall:
Demolition Underway

Henry Baker Hall (Regina City Hall) is undergoing its' first major renovations since the original 1976 construction. The December 2007, Inland Broadcaster provided an overview of the project and we are now updating the progress of the renovation.

The demolition phase is well underway. The photographs on the right show the room from the same perspective. The top photo is the demolition in progress. The second photograph is the original room.

Inland AV has been working behind the scenes as the project moves forward. Inland AV consulted with PSW Architects and Interior Design for the AV systems design and will conduct regular site visits to ensure that the construction is executed as planned and help with any issues that may arise during construction. The equipment has been ordered and is being staged at the Inland AV Regina warehouse while waiting installation.

We are now working with the electrical trades as they install the conduit and cabling in advance of the room finishing and installation of the audiovisual system components.

The new audiovisual system will include:

  • Two 6,000 ANSI Lumen data & video projectors
  • Conference microphone system for 28 people
  • Three camera system for broadcast & recording of the proceedings
  • 15" LCD screens for the mayor, each councillor and clerk
  • Table top mounted document camera
  • The Clerk controls the entire system: audio, video, data, lighting, cameras
  • All signals are converted to video and fed to the local Regina community television and media outlets

We look forward to reporting on the progress of renovations in the next Inland Broadcaster.
