AMX AutoPatch Modula distribution matrix

Brandon's Keystone Centre has been a hub of activity since 1972. The Centre has evolved through several expansions and now offers 540,000 square feet of multi-use space that is home to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings and the Brandon Curling Club. The Keystone Centre facility has many different rooms that can be used for simultaneous separate events or blocked together for larger events such as Manitoba Ag Days.
The facility has 15 separate audio systems in various parts of the building with no easy way of tying them together. Inland AV was called in to develop a user friendly routing system that would allow for audio originating from any location to be routed to any combination of destinations within the facility. The AutoPatch Modula Audio Matrix became the central piece of hardware for routing the audio configurations. To make the process even easier, a TOA model MP-1216 Monitor Panel was added to monitor audio sources coming into the matrix.
With a facility as big as the Keystone Centre, numerous audio systems and miles of wire, the potential for ground loops, and extraneous noise is very high. Through the use of transformer isolation on all of the inputs and outputs tied to the matrix, the audio is clean and noise free.
Dan Robertson, General Manager, Keystone Centre, noted that "We recently hosted the Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association, Manitoba Finals Rodeo. This event has significant sound requirements throughout the building, and we were able to handle all of their requirements thanks to the digital matrix and the recent changes to the sound system in Westman Place." The simple addition of the AutoPatch Modula and the TOA MP-1216's made a huge difference in the service that the Keystone Centre can now deliver to meet their client's audio needs.
