Teachers, seminar leaders, trainers, tour group leaders, and other presenters to up to fifty people often need help projecting their voices. Even talking for an extended period of time can strain the vocal cords and cause sore throats to the point of needing amplification.
The PA-285 VoiceSaver is a perfect solution for presentations of up to 50 people:
The Califone 5-Watt VoiceSaver is a miniature PA system consisting of a lightweight headset microphone (HBM-316) and an amplifier/ loudspeaker that can be belt-worn or placed on a desktop or other flat surfaces. In addition, the PA285 can be used to amplify audio from video projectors & computers to enhance presentations. The amplifier/loudspeaker is housed in a durable ABS plastic enclosure which is shatter-resistant so it will stand up to day-in and day-out uses. It has a 1.5-inch wide belt clip on the back and a rugged steel grille on the front protecting the cone driver. The package includes an on/off switch and companion LED status indicator, as well as a volume control, a 3.5-mm microphone input, and an auxiliary input to connect with laptop computers for enhanced audio amplification.
The included rechargeable NiMH batteries provide up to 8 hours of continuous operating time, and the unit can be in use during recharging with the supplied adapter. The companion lightweight headset microphone is an electret design, supplying signal to noise ratio of 60 dB.
The PA-285 includes a tone adjustment control. It's outfitted with a 3.5 inch cone driver in an enclosure measuring just 6.3 inches high by 4.6 inches wide and weight of only 19 ounces.
An optional tripod mount (model TP-285) is available to raise the unit above a surface for enhanced projection. An optional nylon carrying case (C-285) is also available.
Infrared audio systems are also available and are ideal for permanent classroom installations.
