AV Evolution 2008:
Displays New Technologies

The Inland AV Winnipeg office hosted AV Evolution 2008 on Thursday, January 24. The event offered Inland AV clients an opportunity to see the latest advances in audiovisual equipment and meet face to face with manufacturer representatives. AV Evolution 2008 included a trade show with 13 companies displaying their latest innovations. There were demonstrations featuring Sharp HD digital signage, content creation and management service as well as Tandberg HD videoconferencing technology. Three educational seminars were presented throughout the day and are reviewed below.

Presentation highlights:

  • H.323 will continue to be the cornerstone internet protocol for video communications over IP based networks
  • SIP (Session Initiation protocol) is an emerging standard that will be the protocol of the future. SIP will enable new and innovative video communications capabilities
  • Find the person and not the device. Control how and where you are contacted
  • Will work with existing Tandberg network infrastructure

 

AMX: Resource Management Suite,

  • Simplify, what AMX is all about
  • Command, control, connect, and communicate
